Subject	Did anyone connect a Greddy EGT gauge to another probe ?

Message	I bought a Greddy EGT gauge which came with a short probe. So I bought a longer thermocouple type K at Grand Rapids Technologies. When I warm the Greddy probe, I have 14mV on the connector and the gauge works (400°C). When I warm the GRT probe, I have 14mV on the connector and the gauge doesn't work ! I sent an e-mail to Greddy and they replied their gauge only works with their probe. Then I asked them why, as their probe is a type K thermocouple, but they didn't reply. Did anyone try to hook up a non-Greddy thermocouple to a Greddy gauge ?
